In the heart of Italy, under Tuscany and over Rome, is located the land "La Sabina". La Sabina was one of the first Italian olive tree areas to obtain the
acknowledgment of the Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC - Sabina) and then
the Denomination of Protected origin (DOP - Sabina) as regulated with Reg. (the
EEC) n°2081/92.
 Sabina was one of the first Italian olive tree areas to obtain the
acknowledgment of the Controlled Denomination of Origin (DOC - Sabina) with
decree of the Ministry of the Agricultural, Alimentary and Forest Resources of
29 published May 1995 on the G. U. 142/1995 and the acknowledgment in the within
of the European Community of the Denomination of Protected origin (DOP - Sabina)
with Reg. (the EEC) n°2081/92. Geographically the Sabina is placed on the north of Rome, comprised between the
river Tevere, the Sabini mounts, the Lucretili mounts. “Sabina reatina” parts
goes them and the Umbra region. The territory is formed mostly from hills
landscapes, mountains and tightened it goes them with characteristic and
historical villages, castles, abbeys and convents. The most famous site of this land are “Farfa”, “Santuario di Vescovio”,
“Casperia” and many other interesting villages. In all the Sabina the olive tree is the protagonist undisputed that the ancient
people of the Sabini began to implant and to cultivate very before the
foundation of Rome. About the olive trees and the “sabino” oil of it they spoke
already Orazio, Columella, Virgilio, Terenzio Varrone and still today they live
from protagonists thanks to the climatic characteristics, to the limestone,
